Diversity and depth: a look at the innovations at interlift 2025

From 14 to 17 October, the lift industry will meet for the first time at Messe Nürnberg. interlift is growing in terms of space and will occupy six halls at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre. 500 exhibitors from around 40 countries are expected at interlift 2025. This emphasises the high international relevance of the event. The trade fair is organised by the VFA-Interlift.

Nuremberg – The anticipation for the first interlift in Nuremberg is growing – and with it an impressive glimpse into the workshops of the future. A number of exhibitors have already taken the opportunity to announce their trade fair highlights and new products in advance. These include numerous innovations that illustrate how dynamically and future-orientated the lift industry is tackling the key issues of our time.

Lectures and expertise at the VFA Forum

The VFA Forum is the communication platform at interlift and is organised by VFA-Interlift, the technical sponsor of interlift. During the four days of the trade fair, visitors to the forum can take part in a wide range of themed presentations in the forum free of charge. The forum programme will soon be available online at www.interlift.de and will give all trade visitors the opportunity to plan their visit to the trade fair in detail.

Promoting young talent at interlift 2025 – VFA Academy launches trainee programme

The VFA-Academy is placing a special focus on promoting young talent and is presenting its trainee programme: trainees can take part in an online preparation course and guided tours of the interlift trade fair with experts. The tour is free of charge for trainees from VFA member companies.

A look into the future: robotics in the lift industry

The robOTTO team from Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, together with EduArt Robotik and Schmitt+Sohn Elevators, will be presenting mobile robot systems in industrial use at interlift. Robotic assistants are already performing physically demanding tasks in manufacturing and are an integral part of modern production and logistics processes. robOTTO and EduArt are presenting robot models that were originally developed for international RoboCup competitions. In the future, these systems will be used on several levels and will also be able to interact with lift systems.

Innovations at the interlift

Numerous innovations and products that move the industry will be presented at interlift. These include home lifts, efficient drives, AI configurators, authentication systems, lift maintenance and modernisation, the integration of IoT, door solutions, braking systems, safety gears, barrier-free systems, cyber security, goods lifts, platform lifts, escalators and much more.

The interlift innovations announced can be divided into three core areas: the digital transformation of processes and services, the further development of systems and mechanical components and specialised solutions aimed at efficiency and sustainability.
